Do I need business credit history in order to apply?
No, you don’t need business credit in order to apply. All we need is proof of healthy revenue from past 3 months of bank statements. If you do have business credit history, we may use it as part of the underwriting process to approve you for a higher credit line but it will not affect your credit score.
How are my credit limits determined?
Our underwriting team looks at a variety of factors, such as your proof of revenue, health of business bank statements, and CT history. Based on those factors, we extend you a custom limit.
Are there any fees to use CT Credit?
No! There are no fees at all to use CT Credit. This means no transaction fees, late fees, interest fees, or hidden fees of any kind!
How does the CT Credit Card work if I’m a Virtual Carrier, Flex, or Cash Instant Pay user?
You will be issued a separate CT Credit Card along with your CT Cash Card. The CT Credit card will be attached to your credit balance and the CT Cash card will be tied to your cash balance.
How is CT Credit different from a Cash Advance?
Unlike a Cash Advance, CT Credit does not need to be attached to an active job and does not need to be immediately paid back upon job completion. Instead, it is a line of credit that is extended on a 2 week cycle and there is no associated fee.
What if my credit balance is insufficient to cover a purchase?
If the credit balance is insufficient to cover the purchase, the transaction will be declined. If you would like to use credit for a portion of your purchase, you can ask the merchant to split the purchase into different transactions. You can check your credit balance at any time from your app’s CT Cash tab.
How do I pay my credit balance?
Every two weeks, on the 1st and 16th of every month at 5pm PST, CloudTrucks will automatically pay off your credit card balance from your CT Cash balance. Please ensure you have funds in your account to pay off your credit balance. If your CT Cash balance is not sufficient, we will withdraw from your linked external account.
Is the credit payment automatic?
Yes, we will automatically pay off your open Credit balance on the 1st and 16th of every month at 5pm PST, using your CT Cash balance or your attached external bank account. We will send you an email reminder and a push notification 2 days before the payment date. Once your payment is completed, you will have more credit to use again.
How will CT Credit help me build business credit?
We believe trucking businesses, new or old, deserve a chance to build healthy credit history, improve their cash flow, and learn better financial management. When you're starting from scratch with no credit history, we evaluate your incoming revenue flow and set you up with a small limit to avoid overextending your business.
Your connected bank account is used to pay off your Credit balance every 2 weeks, so your payments are always on-time. On-time payments are reported to Experian, so you can slowly build your credit over time.
If I don't pay my balance, will it hurt my business credit?
If you miss payment and fail to pay your CT Credit balance within a reasonable time period afterwards, we will report non-payment to credit bureaus. This will negatively impact your credit score.
I have a fleet with multiple drivers. Can I limit how much each driver can spend?
Yes, you can issue unlimited cards, set weekly spend limits for each driver and track their transactions in order to have full visibility and control over your fleet.
How are cash back fuel discounts applied?
Cash back from Pilot Flying J, Loves, and Road Ranger are automatically applied to your account after the transaction has settled.
Can I apply as a sole proprietor?
Yes! CloudTrucks is able to lend to Sole Proprietors and LLCs.
Why is Credit not available in all states?
Due to regulatory reasons, we are unable to lend to businesses incorporated in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont.
